Abingdon’s All-American Independence Day Extravaganza is first and foremost family-friendly! In addition to the History, and the great Music, we will also have some great activities just for kids!
The Block Party portion of the event will run from 4-6pm, with the watermelon eatin’ contest, a DJ, and a street full of foam, pumped out by the Abingdon Fire Department!
From 4-9pm, Paper Moon Studio will offer a continuous group activity, where kids of all ages can participate in a giant American Flag Weaving, adding their part to the group art. Other activities include:
- Rotating Art Projects every hour on the hour
- Puppet Theatre
- Dress Up Clothes
- Drawing Mirror
- Easels for drawing
- Yard Games
Join us for the entire event from 4-9:30pm, and the FIREWORK FINALE at the end! All FREE!
